Hello!

My Story

Jenean Deahl is an enthusiastic educator who has served in the field of education for over 25 years. She is a proud graduate of Fairmont University, Fmt. WV, with a BA in Music Education (voice), and an equally proud graduate of West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV, with a MA in Special Education, (Go Mountaineers!). Jenean also attended Towson University, Baltimore, MD, to earn her Administrator 1 & Administrator II certifications.

Jenean has had the wonderful opportunity of impacting lives at all levels of the education continuum, from daycare to college.  Having earned her degrees, but not willing to pay the high cost of daycare, Jenean opened her own home daycare, Smart Start.  While home raising her children, Jenean taught at the local community college as an adjunct professor and likewise managed her private piano & voice studio, Jenean’s Music Box.  Upon returning to public education, Jenean worked for the Head Start Program, as a Disabilities and Mental Health Specialist.  Jenean has also worked as a middle school special education teacher, as a high school special education teacher for students with emotional and behavioral challenges and as an IEP Facilitator.  

Today Jenean has the privilege of leading school change, nurturing student growth and serving the community as an elementary school assistant principal.

Last but certainly not least, Jenean is a loving mom of three; Jay, Jadea & Evan and the wife of 26 years to Erik, they currently reside in beautiful Southern Md.  If you haven't visited Southern MD, you are missing out on some of the BEST seafood ever!
